<\/figure>The right wing lunatics are out in force. The last time these types of lunatics were hot and bothered was in 1957 or so, when John F Kennedy was running for President. What was the upset? Well, he was a Catholic by faith. He was born and raised in that Church and still attended and worshiped almost every sunday by going to\u00a0mass.<\/p>
This was the end of the world per the extreme right. You see the President vows to obey and stay true to the Constitution. However, in their minds, and this included my father and his untettered to the modern world in any way, family was a conflict. How, they demanded can a idol worshiping Catholic of all people be loyal to what would probably be seen as a 2nd alliance, that to the United States. That crazy hysteria died, at least hopefully for most of these chicken-littles. It may not have because to some of my more conservative Catholic hating family members, being Catholic is to be compared with being satanic. Many of them, at least back then would have said there was no difference. Both were enemies of the true\u00a0faith.<\/p>
My take was that Kennedy was one of the better Presidents we have had since 1957.(although Jimmy Carter, Obama and Biden came close and even Clinton was good) Altough I appreciate Franklin Delano Roosevelt and even give some credit to President Eisenhower, just about the only republican that I do give credit for a certain extent of sanity\u2026.but anyway.<\/p>
Now we have a young man, 33 years old named Zohran Mamdani running for mayor in New York City. He, like Kennedy, is being raked over the coals because he is from Islamic faith. The question is \u201ceverybody should know that no Islamic person could possibly be seriously good for American\u201d. That was the same garbage that my anti-Catholic relations unleased against Kennedy. No Catholic could ever be good for America, and yet he was. So might Zohran so I hope that he wins and shows the naysayers that they are wrong as they can possibly\u00a0be.<\/p>
Most Americans quickly SHOULD have realized that the President Kennedy didn\u2019t see a conflict between his religious allegations to Rome and the Pope and his seperate responsibily to America and its citizenry, and the contitution. He did, as they claimed he would, ask the Pople about every action. He did what was in the service of the people and the Constitiution and the people. What prove do the right wing wind bags have that Mandani, can\u2019t or won\u2019t do the same thing. They don\u2019t because he isn\u2019t in office yet. But I will you this, if I lived in New York City, I would have alredy been to polls and voted for\u00a0Mamdani.<\/p>
Why, me, a firm stupporter of Cuomo all thought the wannabe hitler during his first term of destroying decency and human rights in this country, have I turned on Cuomo. Well, there are many reasons. Cuomo has apparently paled up with the little hitler in attacking Mumdani, siding with HIM against Mamdani. Then there is his scandals and now there is a particular video using AI to film an attack with justifiably has gotten lots of rush back since that he had to back it down. He claims one of his workers release that nasty piece of work, but I for one don\u2019t believe it because it was published under his name and he actually had to admit it was \u201csomething he had thought about\u00a0using\u201d.<\/p>
We know Adams is a crook. Meanwhile while Cuomo led the charge on stopping the spread of COVID, he has now flipped where he is working with trump which can never be good for America or its citizenry. As we already can see because although trump lied, (like usual) and see prices would go down, they are going up in many ways. So I now count trump, but also Cuomo as an \u201cenemy to the average citizen and especially minories including woman whose rights to bodily automacy the corrupt and biased Supreme Court is trying to destroy, have on the Federal Level and trying to in various\u00a0states.<\/p>
And of course the LGBTQ are on the target for these anti-American Freedom folks who want to destroy personal choice in most areas of their lives. Mamdani, will almost certainly be better for the rank and file in New York City than either Adams, Cuomo and probably Silwa who is known most for his vigilante justice position. I wouldn\u2019t vote for anybody that takes the law into his own hands, personally. That is what turned into lynching Black people in the\u00a0south.<\/p>\r\n
