In polling conducted this March, our Lake Effect research results show that each of these proposals have strong bipartisan support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis legislature has been one of the least productive in Michigan history, and we can blame Speaker Matt Hall for that,\u201d<strong>&nbsp;said Justin Mendoza, executive director of Progress Michigan.<\/strong>&nbsp;\u201cMichiganders want to keep more of their hard-earned money instead of paying too damn much for basic needs like electricity and prescription drugs. As Michigan Republicans continue to cheer on the Trump administration despite our costs increasing for everything, we\u2019re glad to see House Democrats work towards a vision that can ensure everyone across the state can live affordably.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/progressmichigan.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Chart1.png\" alt=\"Question relating to supporting families raising children and help reduce cost of living.
