RAPID RESPONSE: Defend the freedom to vote!

Defend the freedom to vote!

Call, write, or visit your US Senators and Representative, during this week of Juneteenth, to demand an end to the escalating obstructions to the fundamental right to vote. Investigate the FBI raid on the Ohio Organizing Collaborative, the largest voter registration organization in the state, that registers their neighbors to vote and put an end to such fear tactics.

Congress must also act as the legal challenge continues against Trump’s executive order using the U.S. Post Office to seize mail-in ballots. Defend the freedom to vote and prohibit federal law enforcement and agencies including the FBI, Post Office, and ICE from intimidation or suppression of voting rights!

In addition, the Senate must not give in to pressure by Trump to pass the Save America Act which would restrict mail voting, impose unnecessary barriers, and make it harder for eligible voters, including millions of women, to cast their ballots. Instead pass the John R Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act (H.R. 14 / S.2523)!

Call 202-225-3121 today and ask for your U.S. Senators and Representative. Click here to send them a letter.

Then, fill in your info to send a short letter to your elected officials. And please share with your coworkers, friends, family, and neighbors.

Investigate the FBI’s raid on the Ohio Organizing Collaborative, a key voter registration group, and reject intimidation tactics. Congress must address the legal challenge against Trump’s executive order targeting mail-in ballots, and prevent federal agencies from suppressing voting rights. The Senate should not succumb to pressure to pass the restrictive Save America Act but should support the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act (H.R. 14 / S.2523).
