On April 28, BPC will host an event exploring two new and important sources of insight around building a strong teacher workforce to accelerate student outcomes. Data from both a new national survey from Gallup and the Walton Family Foundation, conducted in partnership with BPC, and the report of the Bipartisan Policy Center’s Commission on the American Workforce point to a common conclusion: The challenge before us is not a lack of talent or commitment, but systems that are not designed for the realities of today’s workforce.

On March 11, the Bipartisan Policy Center hosted a half-day summit featuring local, state, and national leaders from the public and private sector to discuss strengthening America’s talent pipeline to secure our global competitiveness and expand opportunity for every American. The summit also marked the release of the A Nation at Risk to A Nation at Work: The Case for a National Talent Strategy, the culminating work of the Commission on the American Workforce.
